-EXPERIENCE-

2016 – Present: Producer at MIT Open Doc Lab  

Cambridge, MA

Manages and creates content for the ODL website and DocuBase, an interactive curated database of the people, projects, and technologies transforming documentary in the digital age. Produces ODL’s communication and outreach materials, events, workshops, as well as video interviews with guests and fellows. Keeps up to date on the field of immersive and interactive non-fiction storytelling and represents the lab at various conferences, markets, and festivals.

2011 – Present: Producer, Director, DP and Editor

Created award-winning and internationally-acclaimed projects such as the short documentary Toñita’s and cross-platform project Zeki Müren Hotline. Produced media for a wide range of clients including: HarvardX, Eyebeam, Swissnex, Creative Time SummitLilian Schwartz, El Museo del Barrio, One Day In Boston, Maysles Cinema, Architecture for All, Serkan Özkaya, Postmasters Gallery, By Kids.

2014 – 2016: Researcher and Video Editor at MIT Open Doc Lab

Cambridge, MA

Worked as a video editor in Professor Vivek Bald’s transmedia project In Search of Bengali Harlem / Lost Histories (a feature-length film, a web-based documentary, and an oral history project). Produced videos for both linear and web formats, and contributed to the overarching narrative across two platforms. Undertook research on topics such as interactive documentaries, virtual reality and cross-platform projects. Conducted interviews and wrote case studies for the ODL website Docubase.

2016: Panel Leader at Hacking Arts Conference at MIT 

Cambridge, MA

Organized Interactive Cinema Panel with Sandra Rodriguez, Christopher Allen, Kel O’Neill and Jeff Soyk, moderated by William Uricchio.

2016: Guest Programmer at PinkLife QueerFest

Ankara, Turkey

Collaborated with QueerFestTurkey’s first LGBTQ film festival, in programming the 2017 Film Festival.

2012 – 2013: Guest Curator at Maysles Cinema

New York, NY

Curated and produced the documentary series Fiction-Non which explores the gray area between fiction and non-fiction traditions. Conducted outreach for the event and oversaw the event management.

2012 – 2013: Artist in Residence at UnionDocs

Brooklyn, NY

Was invited to the UnionDocs Collaborative Studio Program as a fellow. Produced Toñita’s as a part of UnionDocs’s cross-media, participatory documentary project Living Los Sures.
